A story about brokenness healing put into a beautiful visual frame
"Dreaming with eyes wide awake", Mishas most recent CD, is almost finished and will be printed soon. Hanna Steinhauers cover and booklet design have added beautiful visual art to the story being told - a story of brokenness, depression and healing, of loneliness and learning to love and being loved. The young artists paintings underlying the lyrics are color- and thoughtful interpretations of the songs' contents, sometimes enhancing the lyrics, sometimes focusing on the musical aspects of the songs. The cover includes details of every picture in the booklet and by this fuses all songs visually into a whole. Hendrik Meurkens on vibraphone and harmonica, Glauco P Lima on piano, Michal Jaros on bass and Samuel Martinelle on drums, music, lyrics and vocals by Misha read more...

"Doxology" available in the US
"Doxology" is available in the US at last. It contains Lutheran hymns of the 16th to 19th century, remolded into modern jazz. Grammy winning trumpeters Wallace Roneys beautiful cornetlike sound, Orrin Evans exquisite accompaniment and fierce improvisations on piano, Steve Varners foundations on bass, and Vince Ectors grooving and swinging drums put Mishas vocals and arrangements into an intricate and tasteful framework of groove and sound. Church „standards" like Commit thou all thy grief, Lord Jesus Christ, with us abide and many others shine vividly in this modern light and sparkle with joy and hope, love and longing for the Lord of all mankind. produced by JD Walter, mixed at Samurai Studios by David Stoller, mastering Kevin Blackler, artwork Franzi Michaelis and Judith Fissler: read more...
